The grapefruit data are are from Problem 27.6 in Applied linear statistical models (5th edition) by Kutner et al.. The monkey data are from a paper on primate hippocampal function by Zola-Morgan and Squire, Science, Vol. 250 (12 Oct. 1990), Pages 288-290. Morally they should be in the public domain, though the publisher probably owns the legal rights. I copied the data from the Statistical Sleuth by Ramsey and Schafer (2002), who got permission from the publisher.
