STA 431 Assignment Two: Quiz in Tutorial on Friday Sept. 25th

1. In Appendix A Section A.2, please do exercises 15, 16, 23, 24, 25.
2. Please read Section A.3 in Appendix A on random vectors and matrices. In Section A.3.1, do Exercises 3-6. In Section A.3.2, do Exercises 1, 2, 3, 5, 6.
3. Please read section A.4.3 in Appendix A, on numerical maximum likelihood, and do Exercise 3 (the Gamma with n=5). For this problem you will bring a computer printout to the quiz. It may be handed in as one of the quiz questions. I assume you will use R, but you are free to do it any way you like.

The new formula sheet will be supplied with the quiz.
