University of Toronto, Fall 2017

http://www.utstat.toronto.edu/~brunner/2101f19

Lecture: Friday 2:10-5:00 SS 1083

Note: I do not read my email every day, and the problem tends to get worse as the term progresses. It is much more efficient to talk with me before or after class, or during office hours.

Textbooks: These are available in PDF format free of charge. The texts are mostly for background reading in case you need some review, or you want to go beyond what is covered in lecture.

Topics: Models, estimation and applied inference, Large sample tools, Maximum likelihood, Logistic regression, Linear regression with measurement error, Structural equation modeling

Prerequisite: Linear regression, undergraduate mathematical statistics.

Grading: There will be ten weekly quizzes based on homework. The lowest quiz mark will be dropped, excet that a zero on Quiz 10 will not be dropped. There will be an optional, comprehensive final examination. If you elect to take the final examination, your mark in the course will be your quiz average with the lowest dropped or your score on the final, whichever is higher.

Accessibility Needs: We are committed to accessibility. If you require accommodations for a disability, or have any accessibility concerns about the course, the classroom or course materials, please contact Jerry or the Accessibility Resource Centre (www.accessibility.utoronto.ca ) as soon as possible.
