Part I (PREST)
==============

1. Prepare a pedigree file, e.g., "ex_pedigrees" 

2. Prepare a chromosomes file, e.g., "ex_chromfiles"

3. Prepare all of the marker and genodata files mentioned in
   "ex_chromfiles", e.g., "ex_chr01.idx" and "ex_chr01.ped"

4. Build the program "prest" according to the instructions in
   the README and Makefile.

5. Run the program: 

    I.If using option 1 (perform fast EIBD, AIBS and IBS test only) 

        prest ex_pedigrees ex_chromfiles 1 

    II.If using option 2 (also perform MLRT test; this takes
                          substantially more time) 

        prest ex_pedigrees ex_chromfiles 2 


Part II (ALTERTEST)
===================

1. Prepare an input file, e.g., "ex_altertest_input" 

2. Prepare a chromosomes file (same as in Part I), 
   e.g., "ex_chromfiles" 

3. Prepare all of the marker and genodata files mentioned in
   "ex_chromfiles" (same as in Part I), 
   e.g., "ex_chr01.idx" and "ex_chr01.ped"

4. Build the program "altertest" according to the instructions in
   the README and Makefile.

5. Run the program: 

    altertest ex_altertest_input ex_chromfiles
